ABOUT NUTRITION FOR PERFORMANCE

Nutrition for Performance is owned and operated by Liz Heather. Liz brings a wealth of knowledge to the table and is passionate about all aspects of nutrition and health.

​

Liz is an Accredited Practising Dietitian with Dietitians Australia and an Accredited Sports Dietitian with Sports Dietitians Australia. Peak bodies in Australia for nutrition information for athletes and the community. Liz is also a level 1 ISAK certified Anthropometrist. 

​

Liz undertakes regular professional development to keep abreast of industry developments. 

Evidence based performance nutrition advice is the foundation of Liz's practice.

Being successful in your sport requires a fully-integrated approach – training, diet, lifestyle and mindset. At Nutrition for Performance, we look at all of these facets and make sure they work together to produce results.

Having the right nutrition and hydration strategies tailored to your needs, can help you to recover faster so you can get the most out of your training sessions and perform better on competition days.  Knowing what nutrition strategies work best for you and how to time your nutrition strategies to get the best results is especially important:

    • when you have 2 training sessions on the one day or during competitions where you have more than one event on the one day. 

    • when you have two challenging training sessions or competition events on 2 consecutive days, 

    • to promote muscle growth and repair, to bring about the training adaptations you are working hard to achieve.

  • Design and test nutrition strategies leading up to and for competition days.

  • Form healthy nutrition habits for the long-term.
